Our office team are on full festive form today! We’re wearing our most festive knits for Christmas Jumper Day today and, by doing so, have raised over £33 for the Isle of Wight Radio Toy Appeal! We nipped down there this morning, winding our way through mountains of gifts to hand over the cash!
We’re also proud to thank our very own Simon for joining the station yesterday and again today to assist in the mammoth wrapping efforts (he’s a bit of a wrapping ninja/machine!). Not only this, but he’s donated his wages over this period to charity too.
Ice cream – why not?!

Following our strong and very wet Muddy Bull Run efforts on 22nd September, we were absolutely delighted to present the Joe Ellis Trust today with the funds that our customers, suppliers and friends so generously donated!
The Trust was set up in loving memory of Joe Ellis, who died at the tender age of just 13 years, after being diagnosed with Primary Mediastinum large B cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The Trust strive to help Isle of Wight children who have cancer and their families in their time of needed, whichever form that comes in. It was a joint decision between the team members as to who funds should be raised for, and The Joe Ellis Trust was chosen.
Over £3,250 was raised by 15 team members all taking part in the inaugural Muddy Bull Run which took place on Three Gates Farm, near Yarmouth. The mixed farm of over 450 acres offered variable terrain including a meandering river, dense woodland accommodating miles of pathways, scrubland, hardcore tracks and acres of open grassland – most of which ended up on us and, in some cases, a bit inside too!
We had a glorious little email drop in our inbox today.
As a result of all of the support from our customers, suppliers and friends, Medina Foodservice were placed in the top 3% of fundraisers for September by JustGiving for our Muddy Bull efforts!
Be proud – we are!

WE DONE IT!
We’re back in the office – some with funny walks, some beautiful bruises and even (we reckon) a fractured ankle!
Our fundraising target for the Joe Ellis Trust has been smashed and we think, with your help, we can hit that £3,000 barrier so will be leaving our donation page open just a little longer for the pity money to drop in! These photos may help! Read more →
