Ashleigh aims high!

AshleighAs a company we’re proud to take part in a whole range of events to raise money for charities and causes, and our staff as individuals are just as supportive in their own time too.

Many of you may have spoken with Ashleigh before in our telesales team – in July, she will be doing no less than a SKY DIVE to raise money for Age UK Isle of Wight and needs to raise a minimum of £400.

She’d be very grateful for any support and donations received, which can be made here.

Well done Ashleigh!

Feeling Festive for the Toy Appeal!

Our office team are on full festive form today! We’re wearing our most festive knits for Christmas Jumper Day today and, by doing so, have raised over £33 for the Isle of Wight Radio Toy Appeal! We nipped down there this morning, winding our way through mountains of gifts to hand over the cash!

We’re also proud to thank our very own Simon for joining the station yesterday and again today to assist in the mammoth wrapping efforts (he’s a bit of a wrapping ninja/machine!). Not only this, but he’s donated his wages over this period to charity too.

Over £3,250 presented to the Joe Ellis Trust

Following our strong and very wet Muddy Bull Run efforts on 22nd September, we were absolutely delighted to present the Joe Ellis Trust today with the funds that our customers, suppliers and friends so generously donated!

The Trust was set up in loving memory of Joe Ellis, who died at the tender age of just 13 years, after being diagnosed with Primary Mediastinum large B cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The Trust strive to help Isle of Wight children who have cancer and their families in their time of needed, whichever form that comes in. It was a joint decision between the team members as to who funds should be raised for, and The Joe Ellis Trust was chosen.

Over £3,250 was raised by 15 team members all taking part in the inaugural Muddy Bull Run which took place on Three Gates Farm, near Yarmouth. The mixed farm of over 450 acres offered variable terrain including a meandering river, dense woodland accommodating miles of pathways, scrubland, hardcore tracks and acres of open grassland – most of which ended up on us and, in some cases, a bit inside too!
