Written by experienced food safety experts, SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) is a robust and effective food safety certification scheme which is appropriate for smaller food producers and processors. Approved suppliers can demonstrate that they operate to standards that are recognised and accepted across the industry and exceed the minimum standards expected by enforcement authorities. SALSA approval is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard. We are the island’s only SALSA certified butchery.

STS is a leading food, health and safety consultancy and training organisation, documented systems, audits, training, supplier assessment and consultancy advise. Their standard for Suppliers and Distribution is industry renowned.

The Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society has acknowledged the work that Medina Foodservice put in to supporting the Island’s economy and local growers by granting them the privilege of displaying the ‘Wight Marque’ – a sign of quality and provenance on the Isle of Wight. Not only this but we have been awarded the prestigious Gold membership which means that we supply at least 10 Wight Marque approved products.
